During the '90's I operated Eargasm Sound Company, which was a very reputable provider of live sound reinforcement, as well as lights, video, remote recording and other entertainment support services. These days, I've focused my efforts and equipment toward more personal services, as a DJ - which I've been for more than 30 years at various times - having obtained my FCC Broacaster's Licence at age 16, and worked at KCFR/KVDU at that time (It was an 'Underground Rock' format then).
I was house Sound Engineer for the I-Beam and Rock Island nightclubs, as well as handling showcase performances of national acts for many local radio stations and broadcast groups. I know the importance of:
- Showing up on time
- Setting up with a minimum of hassle
- Relating to the client and their guests
- Creating an atmosphere that's fun, exciting and energetic
- Reading the dancefloor, tastes and moods of the audience
- Executing a seamless performance
I'm
entertaining, personable, broad-based, experienced, well equipped, and
professional. I am willing to net between $300 and $400 per show (3-4 hours),
and may include basic sound reinforcement and lighting for other acts (mics,
small monitor system, PA, etc.) at very nominal additional rates, at events
